Captain Kirks Baja Resort

It’s cheap & easy to get to Captain Kirk’s, La Ventana:

Just fly to Cabo, rent a car, & it’s less than a 2-hour drive, with well maintained paved roads the whole way.

Flights to Cabo are more reasonably priced & well timed (early arrivals & late departures), because many major airlines fly to the San Jose del Cabo international airport, including Aeromexico, Alaska, America West, American, Continental, Delta, Mexicana, etc.

Our guests report that it’s usually impossible to beat the fares, availability, & flight connections from Perone Travel (310) 833-2401. That often requires advance purchase, so call for pricing today.

Rental cars in Cabo are reasonably priced because many major rental car agencies are there, including Alamo, Avis, Budget, National, etc. Reservations are very strongly recommended. Our guests report that unless it’s a holiday, they can get a better price by asking each agency to beat their reservation price! Click here for travel details & options.

Flying to La Paz leaves only a 45 minute drive or shuttle ride, but airfare & rental cars can be more expensive, & you'll usually miss the windy part of both travel days.

FROM THE CABO AIRPORT TO LA VENTANA

1. Take Hwy 1 North towards La Paz & Buena Vista.  In about an hour you'll pass Beuna Vista, then Los Barilles.  Continue north past San Bartolo, over a mountain pass into San Antonio (if it’s daylight, look for the awesome view of La Ventana Bay).

2. Turn right at the blue "Club Cerralvo" sign just past KM marker 155, after entering the little town of San Antonio.  (If you reach El Triumfo, turn around and go back!)  Stay on the paved road for about 20 minutes.

3. Turn left at the blue "Club Cerralvo" sign when the road ends in a T at highway 286.  Go about 2.2 miles (3.5km).

4. Turn right at the blue "Club Cerralvo" sign on the first PAVED right to La Ventana & El Sargento, & continue to KM marker 9 where you'll see our black whale sign on the right, across the street from Club Cerralvo.

5. Turn right under the kiteboard with our logo.  Go almost to the end of the drive, by the double door garage.  To its right, on the clubhouse kitchen door, is a white bulletin board with your room assignment.
